How it works
From a name to a quote, without a surprise at the end
Four steps, each one a real route on our engine. Pick a step to see the call behind it.
You give a name, or a list of up to 20. The engine asks each registry over RDAP (WHOIS where there is no RDAP) and the registrar for a price, in one round trip.
# returns verdict + register/renew price per name
GET /v1/research/availability?domains=zonevouch.com,vouch.comCaptured: 1,890 ms for three names.
For a taken name, a diligence job runs registration, DNS, archive and registrar checks and returns each line separately. Ours took 17.8 s.
POST /v1/diligence/<domain> # 202, job id GET /v1/diligence/jobs/<id> # poll
Names you care about go on a watchlist; names you own sit in the portfolio with days to expiry. Run a check from the Try page whenever you want fresh results.
POST /v1/portfolio/watchlist DELETE /v1/portfolio/watchlist/<id>
A quote stores the live price and a one-time token for 15 minutes. Confirm is refused while purchases are off.
POST /v1/acquire/quote # 201 POST /v1/acquire/confirm # 403 purchase_disabled
Behind each step
The engine checks. The app keeps the record.
ZoneVouch is the front end. The checks run in a separate engine that has no customer accounts and no checkout. When the app opens, your watchlist and portfolio will live in the customer record, not in a browser tab.
The same route answers the app, our own tools and, later, the public API. There is no separate set of “marketing” numbers.

Limits and safety
Plain limits, plain errors
The unauthenticated research routes allow 30 requests per minute per address. Past that you get a 429 and a sentence, not a captcha. We hit it ourselves while capturing this site:
{"ok": false, "error": "rate limited, try again in a minute"}
Everything else (diligence, portfolio, quotes) needs an internal key today and will need your account in the app.
429 · rate limited, try again in a minute
The dashed line is the limit. This slider runs in your browser and sends nothing.
A week with ZoneVouch
Priya's week Illustrative
Priya is an invented person: she runs about 40 domains for a small agency. Her week shows how the steps fit together.
MonSix candidate names
She checks six names for a client launch. Two are taken; she runs diligence on the one the client likes.
TueThe diligence comes back
The taken name has been parked for years with no mail records. The archive check failed; the report says so, and she reruns it later.
WedShortlist on the watchlist
Three available names and two of her own expiring names go on the watchlist.
ThuThe client picks one
She requests a quote and forwards it. Nothing buys anything on its own.
FriNothing to do
That's the point.
