Name & domain report · Demo
uselegible scores 85.1: a free .com carries a 6/10 name
74 names were generated, checked at the registry across 6 extensions, judged for brand fit and scored. The engine's pick and the strategist's pick disagree, and the report shows both.
uselegible scores 85.1/100: .com available; easy to say and spell; not close to any competitor (nearest gummysearch, 0.29). Watch: no searched term in the name
The strongest-fit names (curbcut, openramp, realaccess) lost 30 points each because their .com is taken; each has another exact extension free (see Domains).
Nothing registered; buying is the founder's decision. What happened next: the company chose Wideramp at the brand-kit stage; this report is shown as the engine produced it.
The disagreement
Why the engine's pick is not the strategist's pick
The score rewards a free .com heavily; the strategist rates how the name sounds for the idea. Both views are in the report so the reader can judge.
Engine: uselegible (85.1)
A free .com earns 30 points. The strategist gave it 6/10 ("Awkward verb prefix, clunky (median of 3: 5, 7, 6)"). Five of its other extensions are free, which adds 8 more.
Strategist: curbcut (9/10)
Perfect accessibility metaphor, credible, memorable (median of 3: 9, 8, 9) Its .com is registered, so the engine caps it at 49; the free extension is .ai.
The brief and the verdict
What was asked, what the engine answered
- Idea
- Website accessibility scanner and fixer for small businesses, agencies and in-house web teams. It runs a real browser engine (an open-source accessibility ruleset) against a site, explains every WCAG 2.2 failure in plain language, ranks what to fix first by impact, generates verified code fixes (contrast, alt text, labels, names) and rescans to prove the fix worked, then monitors the site and alerts on regressions. It also writes a accessibility statement and gives agencies white-label reports. Stance: real accessibility, no theater. It is NOT an overlay widget that pretends to fix a site; it fixes the code. A domain we hold, checked eight ways: four answers, four declared skips
Diligence dossier
clovidomains.com: four checks answered, four declared skipped
A domain we hold ourselves, run through the diligence job on 9 October 2026. A skipped check is printed as skipped with its reason; it is never silently dropped.

Every domain the name run touched, and the checker's self-test
Registry view of every domain the run touched: 180 unregistered, 159 registered, 30 unknown (the .app registry answered "unknown" for 30 names; the report keeps them as unknown).

Checker self-test before the report
The availability checker re-proves itself on known-registered and known-free domains before every report; a failed self-test blocks the recommendation. This run: 13 of 13 passed at 2026-10-09 03:55 UTC.

Nothing bought, nothing filed: five next steps with owners
Plan
Five actions, each with an owner
What the run suggests as next steps. Nothing here has been done; the company chose a different name later.
- Decide between the engine's pick and the strategist'sFounder
uselegible wins on score because its .com is free; curbcut wins on fit but only .ai is free. The report does not decide this.
- Register the name and its four defensive extensionsFounder
About $185 a year for .net, .app, .co, .io, .ai of the pick, plus the .com at the registrar's standard rate. A two-step quote-and-confirm is planned (see Coming: Acquire); today buying is a person's action.
- Run the trademark knockout searchCounsel
Protectability above is a heuristic. The report's legal note names the classes to search (9 and 42 for software) and says to use ™ now and ® only after registration.
- Claim the handles that came back freeOps
5 of 8 platforms reported the pick's handle free; two could not be checked and need re-running after reconnecting.
- Set up DNS and mail before launchOps
The dossier shows what an empty domain looks like: no MX, no SPF, no DMARC. The email module (Coming) re-checks these on a schedule.

What this run could not settle, and why
Gaps
10 things this run could not settle
Each gap names its evidence field in the report. A gap is printed, never hidden; the planned modules below close several of them.
Every name carries a 12-point criterion that stayed empty. Protectability is a heuristic class, not a search result.
The .app registry did not answer for these names in the run window and the report kept them as unknown rather than guessing.
A paid API top-up was needed.
A platform connection needed renewing before the check could run.
A platform connection needed renewing before the check could run.
Skipped: the blocklist data we would use needs a commercial licence before customers can rely on it.
Skipped: our site scanner has no side-effect-free check yet, so we do not run it on someone else's site.
Skipped: the typo-squat scan is not built yet.
Skipped: search value needs a back-port that is still in progress.
The report states typical retail for unregistered names; the registrar's live quote arrives with the Acquire module.

Every number traced to its source
Sources and limits
Where every number came from
Data providers are named by role, not by vendor, on this public page.
Sources of candidate names: our name generator (our name generator); the registry's suggestion service suggestions on the idea's keywords; exact-match names from searched category terms; deterministic variations of the top pick (affixes, respellings, swaps, root synonyms).
- Availability
- Registry RDAP per TLD (the .com registry for .com/.net, IANA bootstrap for .ai/.app/...); the registry's own port-43 WHOIS where it publishes no RDAP (.io, .co). DNS is never used. The checker re-proves itself on known-registered (google.com, openai.com, github.io...) and known-free domains before every report; a failed self-test blocks the recommendation.
- Keywords
- search-volume data provider, US / English (monthly average)
- Handles
- Live per-platform checks; each result names its method. Official APIs with fleet credentials fetched at call time (GitHub, X, YouTube Data API, Facebook Graph app token, Instagram business discovery, Reddit OAuth) and public pages where no API answers (TikTok profile data, LinkedIn company page). Facebook sees Pages only, not personal profiles. 'unknown' always carries the reason and, when a credential or API tier is missing, the connect/top-up item (see connect_items).
- Trademark
- Distinctiveness class per name (generic/descriptive/suggestive/arbitrary/fanciful) is a heuristic; no knockout search is run yet. Automated screening, not legal advice: counsel must run a full USPTO search before filing.
- Brand fit
- A cheap fleet model (temperature 0, fixed seed) rates each name 0-10 as a naming strategist would for this product: 3 samples in fixed name orders, median kept, cached per idea + name + prompt version + model. A name within 0.05 of a floor keeps its previous decision (hysteresis), so a re-run cannot flip the pick. Generator and registry suggestion service answers are replayed per idea, so a re-run judges the same pool. Stability: 3 samples, median, hysteresis 0.05.
- Prices
- Approximate typical retail per TLD for unregistered names (no registrar pricing API, founder decision).
- Aftermarket
- For strong names whose .com is taken: registry and registrar RDAP (registrar, dates, registrant when not private, the registrar's contact-the-owner form), marketplace nameservers, the Afternic listing price (cross-checked against the page text) and one visit to the site. Keyless and $0 per lookup, logged in var/aftermarket_spend.jsonl. Lookup only: nobody is contacted, and buying is the founder's decision.
- Cost and time
- Keyword research $4.29; brand-fit judge $0.0057 over 6 calls; whole run 130 s.

Limits the report states
- No trademark knockout search was run; distinctiveness is a heuristic.
- Prices for unregistered names are typical retail, not registrar quotes.
- 30 .app answers came back unknown and stayed unknown.
- Two social platforms could not be checked (credential or top-up needed) and are marked unknown.

Every section of the Demo above, as a printable PDF, sent to an address you can open. Add a domain you want checked if you want a place in the pilot for a run on it.
We check that the address can receive mail before anything is sent; temporary inboxes are refused. One email, no account. The engines are not self-serve yet, so a run on your own subject is a pilot place, not an instant report.
